Secretarial and Administrative Team

Our secretarial and administrative team supports the clinical staff and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. They work behind the scenes to manage a wide range of important administrative tasks that support patient care.
Their responsibilities include:

  • Processing referrals to hospitals, specialist clinics, and community services following GP or clinician consultations
  • Managing private work requests, such as insurance forms, medical reports, and other non-NHS documentation (please note that fees may apply for private services)
  • Scanning and uploading correspondence received from hospitals and other healthcare providers into patient medical records
  • Clinical coding, which involves accurately recording diagnoses, procedures, and clinical information in patient records to support safe and effective care
  • Handling medical record requests, including subject access requests and requests for copies of medical records
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring important information from hospitals, clinics, and other services is passed to the appropriate clinician
  • Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks, helping them focus on patient care
